Dress up your yard with these nostalgic Common Purple Lilac ((Syringa vulgaris) bush seedlings. In a couple of years you'll have Lilac bouquets in your home each spring! This sturdy ornamental produces exquisite blooms in varying shades of purple. Dense, vigorous growth to 15-20', spread of 6-10'. Plant 6' apart for a wonderful flowering screen in early spring, giving way to a dense green hedge for the summer season. Lilac likes light, fertile, well drained soil with a neutral pH. If your soil is acid, dig in some lime, bones meal, and wood ashes when planting. Plant in full sun. Hardy for Zones 3-7. Nursery grown: Pennsylvania license No. 319.
