Glimmer Shop~~~Flowering Black Locust Seedlings
Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) tree seedlings. The open branching and frond-like leaves give the crown a feathery appearance. The leaves are green-yellow, turning a bright, pale yellow around October. This beautiful tree is planted widely around the world as an ornamental tree because of its fragrant, attractive flowers and beautiful foliage. Racemes of white, pea-like clusters in May and June produce interesting bean-like seed pods for fall. When mature, the bark is a deeply furrowed orange-brown. Grows in poor, dry soil. Enjoys full sun or part shade. Hardy through Zone 5-7. Nursery grown: Pennsylvania license No. 319.
