Blue Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) shrub seedlings. These are tall, bushy plants growing as high as 15' and can be grown as trees by eliminating all but one stem and removing the lower branches. Planting several in a row creates an attractive, informal hedge. Lovely 3-5" blooms appear in late summer. They grow in sun or part shade, and like a moist, humus-rich soil with good drainage. Hardy for Zones 3-9. Nursery grown: Pennsylvania license No. 319.
